Tom Weathers, a genial small businessman from South Carolina, flew into New Jersey on Thursday, December 22^nd. He was destined to become the very first owner of a 2011 Hawthorne Chevrolet Volt.

Tom had followed the Volt’s development and became convinced that this revolutionary vehicle would be ideal in providing him: the economy of operation, dual flexibility of electric and gas power, unlimited range

and stylish design he felt would compliment his needs.

 

Months before, Salesman James Gray, handled Tom’s advance order. On the 22^nd, Gray and Sales Manager Victor Filimonchuk welcomed Tom to Hawthorne and introduced him to the Volt’s novel features and operation. Tom was very pleased and within an hour, had begun his 750 mile drive back to South Carolina in his freshly-charged hybrid Volt.
