What's New for 2024?
For the 2024 model year, Chevrolet gave the Colorado a new trim level called the ZR2 Bison. This more intensive off-road model features 35-inch mud terrain tires and a wider track. The ZR2 also comes with aftermarket support from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).

There are five trim levels available for the Chevrolet Colorado:

Performance
Every new Colorado model is powered by a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Though every model uses the same engine, the power output differs depending on the trim purchased. Drivers who opt for the WT or LT model will receive 237 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque. However, in models like the Z71 and Trail Boss, shoppers get 310 horsepower with 390 pound-feet of torque. Finally, in the new ZR2, 310 horsepower and 430 lbs.-ft of torque is the norm.
With this much power under the hood, the Colorado is one capable hauler. When properly equipped, the Colorado can tow up to 7,700 pounds and carry around 1,684 pounds, respectively.
FUEL ECONOMY
According to the EPA, the Colorado earns its best fuel economy rating with its rear-wheel-drive model - 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. When equipped with four-wheel drive, the Colorado was able to earn an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. As for ZR2, this off-road model receives 17 mpg city and 19 mpg highway, respectively.
Design
The latest Colorado model sees big leaps in design quality. The interior has a new center console, the shifter moves closer to the cab's passenger side, and the cupholders are located directly in front of the center console. There's also a new gauge cluster, infotainment screen, and steering wheel to round out the overall updated design.
Notably, when inside the cabin, taller drivers will notice a drop in headroom - they'll also notice that the leg and shoulder space is about the same. Anyone who picks up the new ZR2 models will notice the standard 45-inch-wide lockable storage box in the tailgate.
Technology
Along with a more comfortable and stylishly designed cabin, the new Colorado also offers a host of technological advancements. There's a large 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless phone charging, and built-in navigation with a subscription. Every Colorado also comes standard with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
SAFETY FEATURES
